James Michael Luedtke, JR
October 31, 1991 - July 4, 2013
MADISON/PRESQUE ISLE - James Michael Luedtke Jr., age 21, of Madison/Presque Isle, passed away unexpectedly due to an automobile accident on Thursday, July 4, 2013. He was born on October 31, 1991, in Madison, the dearest son of Jim and Betsy (Buetow) Luedtke.
Michael is survived by his sisters, Jamie (Andy Murray) and Libby; his special niece and nephew, Norah and Dean; and his grandparents Jay and Jan Jorgensen, Gene Buetow, and Bob and Marilyn Rucks; his beloved Brittany and Emme Dean; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Victor Luedtke.
As soon as Michael was old enough to cast that big musky lure his quest for that illusive fish began, during that quest, Michael learned that musky fishing, was about much more than THE BIG CATCH, it was about the time spent on the water surrounded by the beauty and serenity of the North woods with his fellow fisherman, especially his father Jim. Those now treasured times, filled Michael's soul with joy.
A celebration of Michael's life will take place on Saturday, July 13th beginning at 3:30 at the Carlin Club Lodge, Presque Isle, Wisconsin. At this celebration, in conjunction with the World Championship Muskie Classic, a memorial fund is being established to benefit the WCMC to help pass along the practice of catch and release. All donations can be made to: James Michael Luedtke, 12338 Carlin Club Dr., Presque Isle , WI 54557.
Any room, when Michael entered, brightened and glowed - conversation sparkled. Michael's smile inspired happiness. Michael - our son, brother, grandson, and friend will be long loved and remembered as a steady source of happiness for everyone who knew him - now and forever!
